Postcard

In Graphics I am using photo shop to create 6 different types of postcards to represent Brighton Fringe Festival. I have researched this festival and also visited Brighton to collect my own photography. Here are 4 of the designs that i have created.

The post card here is a vector design. By using a photograph of Brighton Pavilion, I used layers and the paint tool to go round the different bits of the building. Once all the lines are connected i filled them with block colour, all in different shades of purple. The typography i learnt from making a previous postcard. For the background I used the gradient tool, selected two blue colours and drew a line. This gave me a background that wasn't just one block colour and looked more like the sky. The clouds i just used a different paint tool, then added an affect to make the edges more fluffy so it blends better.

For the silhouette postcard i used a photograph from brighton, then i got a silouette of a dog, and also bright pier. By putting them on the same layer and merging them down I can cut the silouette image out of the photgraph.

This I just added an affect to make it look like a drawing, or charcoal effect
